Earlier I posted photos of the gardens at Getty, this post will focus on the art I saw. This was a short trip, only 4 hours, that we slipped in before taking off to return home in Sacramento, but I saw some old favorites…

and some new paintings caught my eye…

The buildings alone are a work of art…

With it’s huge endowment making money no object, it gets to do things right. It’s like the Disneyland of the museum world. A great place to visit, but there is a certain irony in viewing a portrait of this guy there:
